President Musa Karademir Issued a Statement Marking the 103rd Anniversary of the “Treaty of Lausanne”

The Treaty of Lausanne is a historic document that secured international recognition for the Republic of Turkey and marked a significant turning point in the founding of our modern state. Over the years, the Treaty of Lausanne has been debated from various perspectives in different political and academic circles and has been subject to differing interpretations.

We, as CDBA and BDU, believe that all major turning points in our history must be examined free from ideological biases, in light of scientific data, and in accordance with national interests.

The path to correctly understanding the past, soundly evaluating the present, and building a strong future lies in approaching our history not with prejudice, but with knowledge, documentation, and common sense.

It must not be forgotten that the Treaty of Lausanne is the guarantee that the Turkish Nation, victorious in the War of Independence, will live on these lands forever.
