“Council of Honour”
The ‘Honour Council’ has been established to protect ethical values, moral standards, social responsibility, honesty, respect, justice and responsibility principles within the BDU.
The Honour Council was established by the Board of Directors with the authority given at the BDU Ordinary General Assembly.
Mode of Operation
– It convenes every two years in December.
– The meeting is chaired by 1 person elected from among the Council Members.
– It takes advisory decisions.
– Participates in National or International Organisations upon the invitation of the Board of Directors.
– With the decision of the Board of Directors, it represents BDU at National or International Level.High Personalities / Persons who have gained the respect of Humanity at the local and global level are elected as members.
Membership Acceptance Specification
– ‘High Personalities/Persons’ who have produced national and international social value are elected as members.
– Institutions / Organisations cannot be elected as members.
– Membership is accepted upon the written proposal of at least 3 members registered to BDU and the decision of the Board of Directors.
– The Membership Acceptance Ceremony is held on the date, day, time and place determined by the Board of Directors.
– BDU Board Members, BDU Council and Platform Members and Other Invitees Attend the Ceremony.
– At the Membership Acceptance Ceremony, the reason for the Election of the Elected Person is explained and then the CV is read. Then, the Chairman of the Board of Directors presents the ‘Honour Council Membership Certificate’ and ‘Badge’ and the Ceremony is concluded.
