The United States and the European Union (EU) have reached an agreement after months of negotiations. A historic trade agreement was finally signed on 27 July 2025 in Scotland. The agreement, announced by US President Donald Trump and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, also prevented a potential trade war between the two major economic powers.
