20 July marks the 49th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation. On the occasion of the year, a reception was held at the Yildiz Park Cadir Kosk Istanbul. The reception, which was hosted by Seniha Birand Celik, Consul General of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Istanbul, and Zehra Bilge Eray, President of the Istanbul Branch of the Turkish Cypriot Cultural Association, was attended by First Army Commander General Ali Sivri, Deputy Governor Ozlem Bozkurt Gevrek, IBB Foreign Relations Department Head Barbaros Buyuksagnak, district mayors, Cyprus veterans, heads and representatives of non-governmental organizations and Turkish Cypriots living in Istanbul. BDU was among the guests of the reception at the BDU Diplomats Union.
