The 51st anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation was celebrated with a ceremony held at Hidiv Kasrı in Istanbul. Erek Cagatay, Consul of the TRNC in Istanbul, and Zehra Bilge Eray, President of the Cyprus Turkish Cultural Association Istanbul Branch, welcomed the guests at the door.
The ceremony was attended by TRNC President Ersin Tatar, Istanbul Governor Davut Gul, military and civil officials, Cypriot veterans, and Turkish Cypriots. Additionally, rectors, presidents and managers of civil society organisations, academics, journalists, and artists also attended the ceremony.
There was also significant participation from the Diplomats Union (BDU).
