‘Minsafest Small Steps, Healthy Tomorrows Festival’ Held in Kütahya

Organised by the Ayaz Ata Health Assistance and Solidarity Association and the Bionic Ear Hearing Impaired Association, and supported by the Diplomats’ Union (BDU), the ‘Minsafest Small Steps, Healthy Tomorrows Festival’ took place in Kütahya on 19 September. The festival, held for the first time, provided free health screenings to citizens, promoting health literacy and awareness. Minsafest is the first health festival in Turkey to combine public health screenings with a general concept.

Institutions and organisations gathered at Zafer Square and set up stands where they promoted themselves and provided free health screenings to citizens. The festival, planned as a preventive health initiative, provided citizens with information on what can be done before a diagnosis is made. The festival, which aimed to create a colourful and fun environment for children and to pass on health awareness to future generations, was attended by citizens, students and children.

The festival, where Ayşe Gamze Cevizli, General Coordinator of the Diplomats’ Union (BDU), was the ‘guest of honour’, was attended by Bülent Küçük, Kütahya Provincial Director of Youth and Sports, Zekeriya Ünal, Kütahya Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism, Şeyma Yılmaz Kuşcuoğlu, Project Coordinator of the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nimet Sarıkaya, President of the Bionic Ear Hearing Impaired Association, Ali Mutluay, President of the Ayaz Ata Health Assistance and Solidarity Association, and other leading institutions and organisations in Kütahya.
