BDU President Musa Karademir issued a message on the occasion of March 8, International Women’s Day.
“The United Nations has recognized March 8 as International Women’s Day based on human rights and in order to raise civil awareness.
Of course, March 8 is important, but our women are much more important. Because the place of our women in society has to be higher today than ever. In the sustainable existence of humanity, women are pioneers.” Strengthening women’s rights on the basis of gender equality should be developed and women’s political and social consciousness should be developed and their presence in life in all areas should be revealed.
In our country, the active presence of women in economic, political, academic and social life is not sufficient compared to developed Western countries. Giving equal and inclusive rights to our women will make our country much stronger.
As Atatürk said: “Everything you see on earth is the work of women.”
