Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive Approved by the European Parliament

The European Parliament has officially adopted the Corporate Sustainability Duty of Care Directive, which aims to reduce the negative impact of business on human rights and the environment. The regulation, which was discussed for a long time and significantly softened in response to the reactions, was finalised after almost five years of discussions and negotiations.

The regulation aims to prevent, reduce or end harmful impacts such as slavery, child labour, labour exploitation, biodiversity loss, pollution and destruction of natural heritage.
