BDU Deputy Secretary General Ayşe Kaşıkırık’s “Women Local Leaders in Disaster Programme Project” took its place among the winning projects in the “Sustainable Benefit Programme” implemented by Borusan Holding

The supported activities of the new period of the “Sustainable Benefit Program”, which focuses on the earthquake zone, where Borusan Holding supports projects that mediate social transformations to reduce inequalities and combat the climate crisis by using innovative methods focused on social benefit for the construction of a sustainable world, have been announced. The project titled “Women Local Leaders Program in Disaster” presented by Ayşe Kaşıkırık, BDU Deputy Secretary General and founder chair of the Global Equality and Inclusion Network, was also eligible to be supported. Within the scope of the project, it is aimed to transform the negative effects of disasters and crisis periods into opportunities under women’s leadership and to reveal women’s potential by providing capacity strengthening support to women in the category of disaster management focused on gender equality.
